Finding the real problem
One of my clients reached out to me because she was miserable.
She wasn’t enjoying her job.
She was unsure about her 7 year relationship.
She was even thinking about moving back to London, the last place she remembered being happy.
Over the next couple of months:
- We uncovered and transformed some of the limiting beliefs that had been holding her back:
“I have to be the best at everything I do” / “I have to please everyone”
- We spent time identifying her Needs and her Values.
She realised she had been neglecting them ever since she left London.
- We uncovered some of her biggest fears and realised it was ok to be scared. That she could still take action and move forward, even while feeling scared.
After 2 months of working together already, her life had completely changed.
She loved her job again, the relationship with her partner had never been better and she had dropped all thoughts of moving back to London.
All this time, she had been looking for external reasons to justify her situation, but the real solution had been within her all along.
This is a perfect representation of how the solution is rarely at the level of the problem.
We often look for quick fixes like changing jobs, changing partners, moving countries…
Putting a bandaid on top of the problem.
When the real solution is probably somewhere completely different.
And as a coach that’s what I can help you uncover.
So if you related to anything my client was going through or you are struggling yourself to deal with something.
